Rockdale Towing takes great pride in serving the residents of North Baltimore County. We understand that when we are called, you are in a time of need. So we strive to exceed your expectations, the same holds true after the incident. Regardless of why we may have your car, whether you’ve been involved in a motor vehicle accident, or your car has been impounded due to some other law-enforcement directed tow, it is our responsibility to abide by the laws of Maryland and keep your property safe. In order to guide you through the retrieval process we’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- If working with your insurance company, please have them contact us to confirm that they will be handling all fees and charges incurred.
- If you do not plan on going through your insurance company, the vehicle and its contents, with the exception of those listed below, will not be released until full payment to Rockdale is made:

Yes, and the tow will be discounted. You will not have to wait around for someone to pick up your vehicle. We will do it within hours of when you release the vehicle.
Fax or Email a letter indicating that you are allowing your insurance company to handle the transporting of your vehicle from our yard. Please include your name, phone number, the insurance company’s name, and complete description of your vehicle. Along with this letter, you will need to include a copy of your license and current registration or Title.
If a person other than the registered owner is retrieving the vehicle, that person will need an official government photo ID or valid license, a signed Vehicle Release Form from the registered owner granting permission for the named individual to retrieve the vehicle, a photo copy of the registered owner’s ID and payment (Cash and all major credit cards accepted)
Each Law Enforcement towing contract has a different fee schedule. These fees are not negotiable and are required to be paid to release the vehicle. This is not our policy as these guidelines are set by the County/State.
Office hours are 8:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday. 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. on Saturdays, Sundays and all State Affiliated Holidays
Rockdale has tow truck operators available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Rest assured that no matter the time of day or night, you will reach a live person, not an automated service, to help assist with your towing needs.
If your car has a hold, please contact the State Police. We will need the vehicle release form they give you in order for you to be allowed to pick up the vehicle.
Due to the innumerable insurance issues, and because our tow yard is where we store the property of others, which we are responsible for, you will not be able to work on any vehicle in or at the tow yard.
