Rockdale Towing takes great pride in serving the residents of North Baltimore County. We understand that when we are called, you are in a time of need.  So we strive to exceed your expectations, the same holds true after the incident. Regardless of why we may have your car, whether you’ve been involved in a motor vehicle accident, or your car has been impounded due to some other law-enforcement directed tow, it is our responsibility to abide by the laws of Maryland and keep your property safe. In order to guide you through the retrieval process we’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions.

If I am not going through my insurance, will you tow the vehicle from your yard to a destination of my choice?2020-06-16T12:15:14+00:00

Yes, and the tow will be discounted.  You will not have to wait around for someone to pick up your vehicle.  We will do it within hours of when you release the vehicle.

If I am unable to release the vehicle to my insurance company in person, what are my options?2020-06-16T12:15:52+00:00

Fax or Email a letter indicating that you are allowing your insurance company to handle the transporting of your vehicle from our yard.  Please include your name, phone number, the insurance company’s name, and complete description of your vehicle.  Along with this letter, you will need to include a copy of your license and current registration or Title.

Is someone else able to release or retrieve my vehicle in my absence?2020-06-16T12:16:18+00:00

If a person other than the registered owner is retrieving the vehicle, that person will need an official government photo ID or valid license, a signed Vehicle Release Form from the registered owner granting permission for the named individual to retrieve the vehicle, a photo copy of the registered owner’s ID and payment (Cash and all major credit cards accepted)

What are the fees to retrieve my vehicle?2020-06-16T12:16:42+00:00

Each Law Enforcement towing contract has a different fee schedule.  These fees are not negotiable and are required to be paid to release the vehicle.  This is not our policy as these guidelines are set by the County/State.

If your car has a hold, please contact the State Police.  We will need the vehicle release form they give you in order for you to be allowed to pick up the vehicle.

Am I able to work on my car (change tire, etc)?2020-06-16T12:18:17+00:00

Due to the innumerable insurance issues, and because our tow yard is where we store the property of others, which we are responsible for, you will not be able to work on any vehicle in or at the tow yard.
